Stunning antique sewing
button with an iridescent smoky mother of pearl shell center surrounded by
brilliant cut faceted steels in a brass setting. Pearl is securely dog tooth
prong set and steels are held outward for a openwork pierced effect to the edge.
Button measures just under 1-1/4" diameter (31mm) and has a wire shank. A
bit of wear to the pearl as shown, steels are shiny bright, overall very good
vintage condition. Fantastic button for special sewing or craft projects.
