Vintage Decoupage
Instructions from Craft Course Publishers ( 33-99151 ) ~ The Art of Decoupage ~ dated
1966, 23 pages, by Roberta Harman. Decoupage is an old art, thought to have
originated in Venice, Italy in the seventeenth century. The art soon spread to
France, England, Germany and many other European countries. Decoupage lasted
into the nineteenth century and then faded. It's seeing a resurgence now as
scrapbookers and assemblage artists (among others) create beautiful new works of
art. And decoupage is also used to revitalize items... lamps, bowls, vases,
boxes, trays... you're limited only by your imagination. This guide includes
black and white prints which, with a little patience and practice, can be
colored to achieve some very interesting effects. Contents and instructions
