Gorgeous Chunky Vintage DeLillo 6-Strand Faux Pearl Choker Necklace

Extraordinary six-strand choker necklace signed DeLillo (also referred to as De Lillo). Stunning heavy faux pearls of glass gently twist as they circle your neck for a chunky effect that's simply stunning. You can increase the twist for a look that's quite dramatic. Pearls are gathered at each end into a dramatic goldtone dome and the hook style clasp is topped with a stylized four-petal flower. Necklace measures about 16" long with an extension of just over 2". Excellent condition vintage jewelry with a tiny bit of verdigris inside the dome gathers and a small spot on one of the faux pearls.

William DeLillo jewelry is extremely hard to find these days. William de Lillo and Robert Clark founded the House of William de Lillo, Ltd., in New York in 1967. They were only in business for a brief period of time and the costume jewelry produced is rarely seen today. William de Lillo was an immigrant from Belgium and worked for Tiffany and Harry Winston in NY before joining up with Robert F. Clark. Robert Clark worked at Miriam Haskell and was her chief designer during the 1960s. Clark previously worked at Harry Winston and Tiffany's which is most likely where the two came together. Their work is highly collectible and very scarce.
