Vintage black and white standard size postcard picturing the Tower of London - Bloody Tower. The story on the back reads:

"Thomas Wentworth, Earl of Stratford, was committed to the Tower on the charge of treason. On May 12th, 1641 he passed out to die on Tower Hill, and as he went he received the blessings of the ages Archbishop Laud, then confined in the Bloody Tower, who four years later, on 10th January, 1645, perished on the same spot as Strafford."
Postally Unused: circa 1910s-1920s?? Publisher: Gale & Polden, Ltd.. Condition as shown, some edge/corner wear, small crease upper right corner, overall fairly good condition.
